• Capacity & reliability: typically adds +1 to +8 rounds (model-dependent). For larger boosts, pair with a longer/stronger spring.
• Reload speed: a broader pad face makes driving the magazine home intuitive and consistent.
• Durability: bumper effect reduces damage when mags meet concrete or gravel bays.

Materials & retention

• Aluminum: light, rigid, wide color choices. Brass: match-weight feel, drop-free ejection. Polymer: light and discreet.
• Retention: tool-less latch/pin for quick cleaning, or a set-screw for maximum security (use non-permanent threadlocker).
